Consumer group CHOICE has tested over 30 dishwashing liquids to reveal which ones will leave your dishes sparkling clean – and which will give your arms a workout.
“This year Morning Fresh Ultimate Pro Brilliance dishwashing liquid took first place with an impressive score of 90%,” says CHOICE household expert, Chris Barnes.
“If you’re looking for a good detergent that is also gentle on your wallet, one of our runners-up – Aldi Tandil Ultra Quick Dry Raspberry and Apple – is a great choice. This product received a score of 85%, with each bottle costing just 40 cents per 100mL. That’s nearly a quarter of the price of other top-scoring detergents we tested,” says Barnes.
“Unfortunately, our test revealed many duds, with seven detergents performing worse than just using plain water. The worst of them all – Ecostore Lemon Dish Liquid – was our lowest performer, receiving a score of 55%, which is 10 percentage points lower than plain water,” says Barnes.
